History

Ben was still a member of the Fantastic Four, whose roster had expanded to become the Fantastic Five. At some point, he married Sharon Ventura and had a set of twin children, Jacob and Alyce, but the pair later divorced.

Much of the left half of Ben's body was covered with bio armor to save his life after he incurred fatal disfigurement following a battle with Terrax when Reed used a device to generate a black hole within Terrax's body to send him out of their universe and Terrax attempted to take Ben with him. In a battle with one of Doctor Doom's robot duplicates possessing the Power Cosmic, his injured body temporarily regenerated, as Doom wanted to kill him at his peak, but reverted mid battle.
