History

Mario Castiglione was the father of Frank Castle. He was an Italian-American who served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, where he fought against the Japanese in Iwo Jima. He was awarded with the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Mario passed away on the day that Frank considered enlisting in the Marines.
