History
In 1367 he left China for the Atlas mountain where he battled the djinn Al-Shalizar for the secret of assuming human form. He won the fight and Shalizar took him to his lamp but immediately died and left him trapped. Six hundred years later the lamp was found by Golden Claw and the Sorcerer Supreme.[1]
He has an important role in the Atlas Foundation, where he has served as an advisor for the Foundation's khans for many centuries. His service continues under Jimmy Woo and his Inner Circle of allies, the Agents of Atlas.[2]Attributes

- Shape-Shifting: Mr. Lao can shift between his dragon and human form at will.[3]
- Immortality: As a dragon Mr. Lao does not truly ages and is hundreds of years old.[3]
- Magic: Mr. Lao magically enhanced Human Robot with a restoration enhancement.[3]
- Flight: Mr. Lao can fly thanks to his wings.[1]
- Flame Breath: Mr. Lao can breathe fire from his mouth.[1]
- Superhuman Durability: Mr. Lao is bulletproof and even Storm's lightning was unable to damage him.[4]
