Raz Malhotra was a talented programmer in the field of artificial intelligence who caught the attention of the villain Egghead. After being rescued from Egghead's clutches by Hank Pym, Malhotra remained in contact with him. Appreciating his talents and potential, Pym gave him a Giant-Man suit. And although some of his first crime-fighting attempts went awry, he was trained by Scott Lang and became worthy of the Giant's uniform.[1]
