I watched the video yesterday. It was awful. The issue was decent, no doubt, but A. Peter going back to school out of being fraudulent is stupid as hell. B. The OMD reversal teases were strong, and annoying because it's to good to be true, but I'm excited regardless. And C. Aunt May is still the insufferable and useless character she has been for years and her appearance in the issue made me want to barf.
Could be. Although I’ve beard from a lot of people that Marvel comics these days suck. I’m currently reading the 1990 X-Men series which is AWESOME!!!!!!!! But, unless the comics have a good story to them, it could just be more garbage for Marvel.
A) The whole fraudolent shenanigan is an heritage from Slott's run when he had Otto be in charge of Peter's body. It will be pretty hard and cringy to see Peter back in school but it hopefully will be a way to redeem Peter as a person and a smart guy: Spencer clearly wrote that Parker knows how Otto's theory works and even how to make it more efficient. I've already read clickbait articles stating how Superior Spider-Man is SO MUCH more intelligent, awesome and more... at least read the issue you're supposed to write about.
B) There will be a catch along the way but hopefully it will end with Peter and MJ back together, if that's the result I can withstand even the point A... I've been through much worse in the last 10 years
Fair point. The fraudulent thing may be a way to redeem him, but I don't like the way it's going so far. I also hope issues are being published bi-monthly so we can see what happens faster then having to wait 3-4 weeks.
No doubt that there will be a catch, but as long as we see Peter and MJ back together I think I can live with 1 little catch.
That's how it used to be, ASM's irregular schedule was because of Slott's slowness, that's why I'm surprised Marvel gave him 2 big titles at the same time when he had a hard time meeting the deadlines with a single major book and Silver Surfer that had more delays than issues lol
