I am a Loki fangirl, and am very empathetic toward this character. Everyone views him as a villain, but I think it depends on the viewpoint. I think he's just trying to find a foothold in the world, and trying to find his place. He's just... not very good at it. Does anyone have any thoughts on this, or extended theories?
By the way, I meant to put this under the movies board- in case anyone was wondering. Sorry 'bout that.

That description doesn't qualify for a good guy, it better suits nutcase, at the worst a selfish psychopath, and at the least and best version, very bad case of inability of anger and frustration management that puts many versions of bersekers like Hulk and NAmor to shame, the Marvel version of the emo whiner SBP. I do not intent disrespect to Loki though.

Well, he must believe that ruling over somewhere won't be boring, as it's been his life-long ambition. He believes it's his purpose, his destiny to rule. So, for him, it is a relatively short-term goal, but it's his long-term plan. He not only seeks power and approval, but also his destiny.
