Avatar has done things to me that no other franchise has ever done, made me want to do things no other franchise has ever made me want to do. I never thought I'd feel so strongly about something that I'd want to write a series of essays analyzing it. But since I do... well, here's a list of a few topics I want to cover.
The Avatar Franchise and the Failure To Meet Expectations
The Avatar Franchise and Balance
The Avatar Franchise and the Effects of Change (which I'll probably end up working into my other essays instead of making an entire essay on this)
The Legend of Korra and Emphasizing With Villains
Avatar: The Last Airbender: Forgiveness and Redemption
The Legend of Korra and the Power of Trauma-Induced Character Development (probably going to change that name to something like The Legend of Korra and the Power of a Healing Arc)
Avatar: The Last Airbender and the Psychology of Azula
The Avatar Franchise and the Effects of Long-Lasting Trauma (also probably going to change the name on that one. Anyone got any ideas? I'll basically be talking about trauma on a mass scale ((how the world was changed by the Hundred Years War)) and trauma on a personal scale ((Katara losing her mother, Korra's... everything lol)) so that should give you an idea if you want to help).
So I guess you guys have something to look forward to... or dread. Who am I kidding, most of you skim over my long rambles. I do this more for me than for you anyways.
