As one of Marvel’s most enduring superheroes, Spider-Man has fought some triumphantly heroic battles across space and time, and in doing so has discovered he’s not the only one to wear the Mask, to borrow a phrase.

Multiple characters, whether they’re multiversal alternates, clones, or otherwise normal individuals who were inspired by Peter Parker’s legacy, have taken on the role of Spider-Man/Woman. Others have stuck with Peter through the best and worst of times despite not having any powers themselves.

And so I ask:

1) Who’s you’re favorite Spider-powered hero, other than the obvious choice of Earth-616 Peter Parker? Why are they your (2nd) favorite?

2) Who’s you’re favorite Spider-Man related character in general? Why are they your favorite?

2nd favorite spider-person is MC2 Spider-Girl. Her run is simply fantastic and she's everything I wanted to happen in Earth-616 had Joe Quesadilla not "envisioned" OMD.

Favorite spider-related character HAS to be MJ. She's not a "related" character, she's the heart and soul of Spider-Man books just as much as Peter, she's a coprotagonist to say the least. She's Peter's true half, the only reason Peter is always ready to take on the world with a smile on his face is Mary Jane, and the only way someone can really hit Peter deep down is by hurting or endangering MJ, and the opposite is just as true, for since she met Peter she became a true hero too.

He hit the jackpot.

Hey Tom, is Renew Your Vows worth the read? The marketing for it made me think it was nothing more than an half-hearted apology for OMD...

My (2nd) favorite Spider-Hero is Miguel O’Harra, the Spider-Man of 2099. I love his visual design (both classic and modern) and really enjoy the concept of a future Spider-Man, especially the avenues it opens with world-building and the multiverse.

More generally speaking, I’m also going with J. Jonah Jameson. I don’t feel like any Peter Parker story would be complete without Jolly Jonah screaming something outrageous in the background. While I know his rhetoric is supposed to be satirical in a meta context, he’s become a likable character who’s rather indispensable at this point.

Volume 1 is definitely a good read, Volume 2 less so, but the first couple of arcs (until #10 or #12, can't remember) are enjoyable.

RYV has potential before Marvel had the brilliant idea to turn it into yet another tale about an angsty teenage hero where MJ and most of all Peter were just background characters.
