I don't know- we have PLENTLY of straight relationship-based movies that are marketed as wonderful in that they present romance wonderfully. I just don't see why a sentence about a gay kissing scene being described in an exaggerated sense is any different than when say people in the media recount the Notebook or whatever kissing scene between man/woman.
It's not the problem. The problem is that it's advertised and it should not be
No romance then. Maybe they should stand next to each other but not touch and eyes forward at all times. Don't touch because people wouldn't want to see that.
Nice to see a SW user on the Marvel wiki✊🏻😁
Andrew, do the actors fuss about it every time a straight couple kisses? No. Only some weird Reylo fans do that.
Sometimes they do. I'm thinking people make a fuss about the fuss more when it's gay couples. Seriously this is a non-issue. It's just hype about movies that always happens when movies are coming out.
Well then u havent listened to anything anyones said
Honestly its due time they openly embrace lgbt people. So far all "lgbt" characters have been not openly addressed.
As for the advertising, who cares. Its not an lgbt movie its just a movie with lgbt character. We advertise hetero relationships for movies all the time. If people go see it for the lgbt representation then thats fine. If you go see it for the superhero action, thats fine. Im not a big fan of the way they try to use it as a marketing strategy but thats fine.
Ultimately, its a superhero team that has a relatively small following anyhow. This whole movie is a stretch. I mean ill go see it because why not but like ive read comics all my life and can name maybe four eternals. Sure it would be nice to see comic accurate character but its a creative interpretation of these character. If you want the actual character, just read the comics. If they were going to make a bunch of changes, the eternals is the best for damage control because like only a handful of comic fans know or care about them that much.
Ultimately, similar to what max said, who cares anymore. Im an lgbt person and while im not crazy about the marketing, honestly just who cares. Its just a movie most of us wont care about. Ive yet to hear anyone really be psyched for it anyhow. I dont think the lgbt kiss is the reason people are really going to be driven to go, but if it is, good for them? I mean we as lgbt people have either no representation or bad representation. Theres literally one character who was identified as openly gay and he was easily forgettable. The rest are claimed to be gay but openly not addressed on screen. If lgbt people are pumped to go see a movie with an open gay kiss between two superheroes, like idk, good for them? Idk i just dont see any of this as that problematic other than marvel using it possibly to create more capital. Even that doesnt seem horrible as long as they dont make a bad representation of lgbt people.
We absolutely do not need this ever
Well. Now that I think about it maybe we need some of it.
