Why do some of you hate on Brie Larson. She's such a pure soul and good person. She Likes to use her platform to highlight issues and that's an amazing thing to do. She is the right person to play Captain Marvel because she knows what it represents. She works in a profession that really gives a difficult time to women and she uses the platform she's given to raise awareness about those issues and I applaud that.
I have seen some youtubers complain about the stuff that she has said like 'thank you very much' or 'is this is a personal attack or something'.
For the latter of the thing she said I'll just say this. How the fuck do you not realize that she was being sarcastic. For the former all I'll say is that don't we all try to be the first us. I mean basically every celebrity, sportsman, writer etc. Say that they want to be the first them not the second someone else but when brie says it it's apparently wrong. That's a really big double standard y'all are putting her on.
Another thing I have seen these YouTubers do is they try to portray her as if she hates white men which is dumb as fuck. She was talking about a wrinkle in time and wanted more critics inclusivity and that the critic demographic should represent the target audience. A wrinkle in time was targeted towards women of colour and teenagers and only two percent of the critic population represented that demographic.
Those People take her line "I don't wanna listen what a 40 year old white man says about it". She's not saying that if you're a white man your opinion on the movie doesn't matter, all she's saying is that there are already so many white men reviewers out there, so it would be better to hear some other voices especially of the target demographic about what they think of the movie.
Then their are some People who say that she doesn't know how to act and all I can say about that is wtf. She's an amazing actor, her work in the Room was amazing. When talking about Captain Marvel they were saying that she doesn't show expression and emotions but you guys do realize that she's playing a warrior who has no memories of her past life.
Warriors are already told that emotions are not important but further more she has been mind wiped so that's why she doesn't have any emotional connection to anyone in the world. Brie Larson played that part perfectly and later after the first act of the movie when she starts to remember her past, who she was.
There is a sudden rush of emotions and impulses on her part as Carol Danvers when she finds out about her past. Switching gears while playing a character requires great talent and Brie Larson has what it takes. Carol's journey was to find who she was and that was damn well relatable to me because don't we all want to know who we really are. She is the perfect carol danvers and no one could have done it better than her.
More than Anything she's like everybody else. She likes to play Video Games, Has a Dog, Likes Star Wars and is an Introvert. That is what makes her so damn relatable that she's like a fan who has got this role and now's what it means. She's a genuinely sweet and nice person. She's Sarcastic but some people don't get when she's being sarcastic or not. She's so genuine and nice and lives to take her platform to highlight genuine issues. She is an Amazing Person and she's The Captain Marvel.
