@BashengaTheFirst out of curiosity, have you read Mark Waid’s Daredevil run? Specifically the Sons of the Serpent arc.
What with everything going on I remembered it, and given that you don’t shy away from discussing politics in comics I thought you might have an interesting take on it.
Personally, the good of it is:
The broad message is that racism is bad, that racists are bad. A low bar but 2020 has been a hell of a year.
It feels a little similar to the old radio show Superman fighting the KKK - a clear hero framing it for people that need things spelled out that badly.
Also personally, the bad is:
While it does address the topic of systemic racism within the legal system (a major plot point in fact), it does feel that the nature of the narrative diminishes it a little. It’s nice to have a bunch of punchable costumed thugs, but it skirts the reality of it to say that racism is only pervasive within the legal system because an eeeeevil organisation infiltrated the police etc.
