@Evans 96 Sorry to get back to you so late, thanx for passing on the info! Since the question was Marvel related I thought I'd make it a post where I can have more focus on it, instead of in the OT thread.
Now to answer the question....
My Theories:
Because Panther has next to NO Hispanic/Latino villains, I imagine the rumored actor will be playing a race changed character. Who could that be? Because they're race changing, it really could be anybody lol. Well.... sorta.
Kiber The Cruel would be the best option in my opinion. Intelligent, resourceful, secretive, etc- damn near everything Wakanda was. He could be seeking Vibranium to enhance his inventions. Overall changes would need to be made with his character.
-Vennom https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Horatio_Walters_(Earth-616)?
Vennom was in league with Killmonger in comics. In fact, Killmonger had a whole squad known as "The Death Regiments" that helped him wreak havoc in Wakanda. In the MCU Vennom could be one of Erik Stevens once close friends, who wants to kill Tchalla as vengeance for the death of his friend.....but that would be a lame motive for a villain in a 2 hour film lol. Maybe then, Vennom could just be some horribly scarred hitman, who loves snakes, and is hired by a secret organization (Sons of The Serpent, or Supremacists) to kill Tchalla. Idk🤷🏾♂️.
Drug Lord of Wakanda lol. I think introducing Solomon Prey could create a good story for Panther. Now that he's opened Wakanda's borders, he has to worry about what is coming into the country. This could be a chance to have underlying messages about gun control, drug trafficking, corruption and how it affects a nation. Could be good🤷🏾♂️.
Like the article, I thought of this too- But as we all know Hector is no villain! I think they could do it as a twist...but since we already know he's going to be a villain there isn't going to be much surprise lol. So this should just be a no. But then again...The MCU made M'Baku/Man-Ape a good guy, so they could make Hector/White Tiger a bad guy🤔. Eh🤷🏾♂️. Feels unnecessary.
I doubt they will do a race-bended Hunter aka the real White Wolf seeing as how in BP#1 they made Tchaka unwilling to take in the child of his own brother (his nephew), so why would he then take in a child that definitely has no familial ties and definitely not Wakandan? It wouldn't make that much sense.
However.....It could be argued that the reason he didn't take in Njadaka is because, as said, he needed to "Maintain the lie" that covered the fact he killed his own brother. Too, Njadaka could've grown up resenting Tchaka, wishing revenge (which happened regardless). With Hunter- a poor boy who crash landed in Wakanda- it wouldn't have had they same baggage. So they could make it work.... but I honestly don't think it'll translate well to the audience. Most would just see: "Oh so Tchaka denies his own nephew, but takes in this random kid?" So I don't think they should go this route. Too...the MCU made the grave mistake of already making Bucky/Winter Solider the "White Wolf"- introducing another character who is supposed to be named such (thus changing the name AND race)....is just too much in my opinion. They should just leave it alone lol. ....BUT..if they do🤷🏾♂️...
To explain the characters absence from recent events, they could say that this Hunter had done something that made him get exiled, and now after the death of Tchaka, and Wakanda opening its borders, he has returned seeking to usurp the throne....Eh🤷🏾♂️. It could be forced to work.
Kraven? Possibly. But I'd prefer they leave Kraven as Russian. Too, Kraven was never THAT much of a Panther villain. He was always hired to take Panther down, and never had his own motivation for doing so other than the thrill to hunt. That latter part may work for Spider-Man maybe, but not for a Panther film...itll be far too basic.
Namor? I dont see Namor, but they could do it if they wish... but make Namor Hispanic/Latino🤔? I'll let @Emperor Namor voice how he feels about that.
Doom? Please no. Definitely wouldn't make sense.
There are other characters I could name, that could be possibilities...but they are so far from "making sense", I'd rather not discuss them lol. The rest of Panther's major villains are either native born Wakandans, or Nigandans; and the race change would require too many adjustments to the characters- they might aswell create their own character instead forcing one to fit the narrative they want lol.
Well that's all I have to say! I apologize for the long post, and I apologize for any typos. Appreciate all who read😉✊🏾.
