I recently watched X-Men Apocalypse again and though it wasn't the best of the X-Men, I remembered that a lot of people consider him to be enhanced by Apocalypse. Why? A lot of people enhanced by him have physical transformations. Apocalypse did the exact thing which Charles did in First Class except that he induced anger, not joy or happiness. Charles himself said that once Erik was able to access his own mind fully, he would be the strongest mutant. I think that's a reason why Apocalypse didn't enhance him at all. He would have maybe become even more powerful than him. Apocalypse simply let Magneto know what his powers were. Not enhance him.
