Great actor but Doom needs a certain "dominant" vibe, he needs to pull off being the ruler of Latveria. He also needs to be intimidating. Let's not forget that he may spend most of his time behind a mask and Hollywood actors hate that, Denzel is too big of an actor to agree to not showing his face in a movie.

Doom is one of those characters that would be better casted with a voice actor than an actor actor.
