Laws of Combat:
1) Each battle will consist of team vs team engagement.
2) Battles are HOLISTIC. There are no designated singular fights like “leader vs leader” or “powerhouse vs powerhouse” with any sort of tally system (ex. Timmy wins 3/5 individual fights, so he wins the battle). Other tournaments by other wiki members are exceptional at this, but that’s not what The Grey Wars are. That’s why I didn’t really have you pick specific “types” of characters. I left it purely up to you to decide what’s important and what balance you wanted 😉
It is all out, team vs team combat. This means you have to analyze each team’s powers and abilities, but also their tactical capabilities, their leaders, and their team SYNERGY. A team that has more raw power can lose to a team whose members work really well together and have a history. Leaders don’t have to fight leaders, mystics don’t have to fight mystics, etc, it truly is team vs team.
3) Each battle will last about 48 hours and has two phases:
Phase One: The first 24 hours are reserved for combatants ONLY. This means that only Shield-Brothers whose teams are involved may comment. It’s their chance to strategize, convince, argue, debate, and otherwise “go at it” with the opponent team. Make a case for both why and how their team would win, the more specific, the better. This will be a chance for everyone to observe and consider points made by each side. Any comments made by anyone other than the combatants in the first 24 hours will be deleted.
Phase Two: The second 24 hours are for all other Shield- Brothers to weigh in and debate, argue, and cast their votes for who they think would win the battle. The combatants may no longer comment, and if they do, THEIR comments will be deleted. At the end of the second 24 hour mark, votes are counted and a victor is determined. Winners live to fight another day, while the defeated are terminated from The Grey Wars. No second chance.
I’ll notify you each time we shift from Phase One to Two so that you all know when exactly you can and cannot engage.
Votes are cast individually, so both you AND your Shield-Brother each have a vote. You don’t vote as a team. Combatants may NOT vote on their own matches. At the end of the second 24 hours, only those who cast a vote will be counted. If you forgot, didn’t say exactly, etc, your vote is lost.
4) We will proceed through all teams, battle after battle, until only one team remains. The first Shield- Brothers to claim the title
“Masters of The Grey Wars.”
