He's not a moron, but assuming the two would work together is a hard pill to swallow.

CGR also has no reason to follow his commands at all... Like Bashenga said, Nightcrawler does not really command much respect, or even have much of a reputation compared to the absolute juggernauts and big-name talents like Adam, Surfer and CGR.

Not saying he doesn't have experience leading... But he's pretty quiet about it. When you think "Nightcrawler" no one's thinking "Gee what an amazing leader that guy is".

So again, most of your team has no real reason to listen to somebody that in several cases, they probably have never even heard of, nor would they really respect.

Meanwhile from Nightcrawler's perspective, not only would he have huge moral objections from just being around the universal scumbag that is CGR,(seriously.... He's Marvel's Lobo.) as well as possibly Silver Surfer due to his past as Herald of Galactus, and Sleepwalker because he's creepy, But he also wouldn't even really know how to command the team effectively, because he barely even know who these people are, only their likely exaggerated reputations. There's a big difference between leading a group of people you have been longtime freinds with, as in the case of Excalibur, and leading a bunch of complete strangers, especially when all of those strangers are stronger than you and they know it.

Here I am telling you, they all have enough experience, and advantages, it really wouldn't matter. We have their actual accomplishments to go on... Your team doesn't have enough history for us to know, "what is their cohesion?". We can speculate all day long, but it isn't like we have a vast catalog of their accomplishments, is it?

None that is directly shown, but they are all implied to be well-established heroes in their own right with their own history.

Two of them are from Warp World's version of the Avengers, and the other 3 are all other heroes in that world.

We can also infer from the fact Warp World's history generally mirrors Earth's, albiet warped, that these characters would have met each other repeatedly during their existences. The Infinity Warp event may be short, but Warp World has a history spanning just as long as Earth's.

We also directly know that our leader at the bare minimum knows the existence of all of our other characters, as he has interacted with them and has seen them in action, which is more than you can say for Kurt.

So we should take their word for the fact, despite having never seen it, they are as adept as their base characters?

Well what do you expect? Marvel to rewrite the entirety of it's comic book history but with Warp World characters?

The point is that all Gamora did to create Warp World is that she "folded the existing universe in half". She didn't mess with the time scale at all, and she didn't create a new universe. So while reality and history was altered, the length of it was not. And when Adam Warlock contained Warp World to the Soul Gem, he also did not start them over from scratch, but made a new universe for the residents to inhabit, and duplicating the original souls so that the rest of Earth-616 could have it's characters back. But again, he did not erase Warp Worlder's memories, nor did he change anything about their history.

Doesn't the Avengers roster change a lot, over time?

Yeah? So? They were on the same team together. If you want to argue Warp World's roster changes just as much as Earth 616s (which is one thing we haven't really seen in action, but again mainly only due to limited viewings of Warp World) that only makes our team have even more synergy, as assuming Warp World's history mirrors Earth's, all of our team members have been Avengers at one point. Except maybe Doctor Hyperjustice.

Last point, individuals with multiple power sets. .. Do you see this as an advantage or a detriment? I tend to think that the more powers one has, the less experience they have with them. In short, an individual who studies a thousand martial skills will not be as adept as one who studies a dozen, 5, or 1.

So, a Phoenix avatar, with magnetic field manipulation, kind of has a bit less experience than someone with one or the other.

I like the team though, all things considered.

That's a common misunderstanding with Warp World characters.

A lot of people assume that they are just half one character and half another. But they were all made by fusing at least two characters' souls together... So it's a 1+1 equals 2 situation. This was even confirmed at one point by Warp World's Sorcerer Supreme, who upon using his astral abilities to view other people's souls, he always saw two souls merged in one body.

Now, this isn't to say that the character's past can't influence their skills... For example, Iron Hammer is actually highly skilled in Asgardian magical engineering, unlike Thor, who barely manages to put Mjolnir back together usually, and Tony, who put an armor suit together that one time. However, while he was skilled enough to become a human weapons tech billionaire just like Tony, it would admittedly be a stretch to say he is as good of a human engineer as Tony, simply because he doesn't have quite as much experience. Though he does have just as much potential to do so, and could be argued that he is, depending on how much time he actually spends on Earth as opposed to elsewhere, which we do not know.

However, this can really only apply to character's we know the background of extensively. For someone like BladeKnight for example (who admittedly even I didn't know existed... Thank Bashenga for having her on our team) we can't definitively say that she is less skilled at using her powers than Blade or Misty Knight. Because we don't definitively know her background, we don't know what powers or skills she favors over the others, as is the case with Iron Hammer or Soldier Supreme. So we have to assume she knows as much as, and that she is as skilled as her components, as we have no evidence otherwise.
