Nightcrawler for me, his agility and his powers should be good enough

This would be a pretty close matchup. Considering that their abilities are similar to each other's. Well, kinda similar. It could honestly go either way. But I would say Kung Lao would most likely win. He's much more trained and experienced in combat. You know, he's a Shaolin monk, so he's mastered in many different styles of kung fu. Also, his strength and speed feats are much higher than that of nightcrawlers. Lastly, his razor hat will definitely do some damage

I think Kurt has a speed advantage. Kung lao has kind of slow teleportation.

Though Lao also has energy projection abilities and martial arts advantage... hard battle

I think this fight really depends on:

Location of the fight

And

Equipment

Kurt is faster, and with his swords it makes for an interesting fight.

Kurt is also more acrobatic and agile. Kurt also has his darkness bending powers that could give him a stealth advantage.

Lao has energy projection, his hat, better martial arts...

But i think when it comes down to it kurt would win. I dont think lao could tag kurt with his hat.

Nightcrawler easily

No way is Lao's strength or physicality higher than Nightcrawler's. Most MK characters are barely Superhuman. They have abilities that may boost their capabilities momentarily....sure, but at base they are by far Peak Human.

Nightcrawler has lifted grown men with his tail alone.

I'm going for Nightcrawler here, most MK characters do not have the showings/feats Comic characters have. Example:

-Kung Lao has never been shown to dodge a bullet, whereas Nightcrawler has deflected bullets with his swords. That's just one argument in regards to superior speed & reflexes.

Nightcrawler has fought and faced way more than Kung Lao being an X-Men and even leading his own team for some time.
