Ditto what Slyme and Thad said. New Warriors are underrated. And, truth be told, not all of the new ones seemed that bad. I loved the concept behind B-Negative.

I think a lot of people missed the point of the characters. They werent supposed to be serious. They were supposed to lean into negative stereotypes to reclaim narratives. Though they did do them in a tone deaf way. It was supposed to make light of those sterotypes in a fun relatable way. It wasnt supposed to he taken too serious.

Though, who knows how it would have turned out. I agree was a good about of the backlash from the NB community. Creating the first marvel NB character and giving it a tone deaf alias is pretty bad

I feel like most of the negative feedback was well deserved, but B-Negative would be cool to see outside of the New Warriors.

I mainly got into the TNW cause of the Vol. 1 #19, which I believe was the first Gideon revealed his powers. Gideon wasn't just an enemy of the team, but of their leader Night Thrasher corporate world. And the fact he beat them all butt naked was funny and so awesome. I should read the other volumes fully, but the little I do recall is Vol 2 was still in the same vain as 1, 3 became a bit cartoonish. Vol 4 I think was more in line with 1, and 5 was a nice mix of 1 and 3. I don't recall the plot for 6 was but I think it was still in line with 5, and though I wasn't feeling a new team of heroes that the original would train or that they'd be under 21, I was looking forward to checking it out.
