"Captain America Is A Hypocrite"
Fans who think this believe that Steve Rogers in the MCU preached teamwork, honesty, and sacrifice but never practiced what he preached and overall, lacked character growth.

My issue with Steve has never been his lack of honesty (except in civil war but that’s a whole other conversation), it was the fact that he was uncompromising in his mindset. Clearly he was effective at teamwork other wise why would he have worked with the avengers for so long much less help bring them back together in endgame. What I don’t like about his character is the way he looked down on others that didn’t share his point of view. This is most prominent in civil war. I understand that he didn’t trust the United Nations but he also should’ve acknowledged that the avengers needed to win back the trust of the people they swore to protect. It’s one thing to do your job and protect the world from global threats but it’s another to acknowledge the collateral damage and help repair and reconcile said collateral damage.
I wouldn’t go as far as to say Captain America is a hypocrite but he’s definitely not as blameless as some people tend to think he is. He’s selfless sacrifices and he’s mistakes that have had consequences but at the end of the day that’s what makes him a complex character. The avengers have never been a perfect group of squeaky clean characters. Almost everyone of them was battling their own personal dilemmas when the avengers were formed.
But the thing is everything Cap was against had the most devastating consequences.
He was against SHIELD/the government using the tesseract.
Result: Battle of New York.
He was against Operation Oversight.
Result: Hydra Coup of SHIELD and them nearly killing millions of people.
He was against the Ultron Program.
Result: the destruction of Sokovia.
So when those same people come trying to sell you on something else that'll "help" like the Sokovia accords why would he agree now?
As someone who constantly overthinks I'm always thinking of the worse outcomes first to see if the pros out weigh the cons and that's what Cap did and each time he was proven right cause everything always ended up bad. That wasn't him looking down on them, that was him looking at all possible outcomes and not just the desired one like the people who came up with it.
If Cap is a hypocrite, Black Panther is white.

^^Imagine a white Black Panther. That might actually make for a good story. Or a terrible one. IDK.
You mean... him?
Also, Kevin Cole is white and was Black Panther for a period.

Interesting
Darn you @Fra! I'm the BP expert here lol.
But yes, technically Cole is white. He's Biracial.
What do you think?
