Hawkeye and Black Widow are the first to be taken out. The rest of the Avengers have zero magical or telepathic resistance. Avengers get slaughtered.

If MCU versions yeah. If it were comics though, I really can't see any of the Illuminati getting through Hulk.

Illuminati is just a stronger and smarter team overall. They have strength, psychic, magic and intelligence advantage. I can't see how the AoU Avengers could match them.

Ok, but what if Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and Vision were in the AoU Avengers? Or even War Machine, for good measure?

It might tip the scales a bit, but would that be scarlet witch as she was in AoU? Cuz she doesn’t become OP until later.

I'd say Vision is the best asset since he can analyze data and make a plan within fractions of a second. The best course of action would be to neutralize Mister Fantastic using Thor's electricity. From there, Professor X and Scarlet Witch could have some sort of psychic battle. The Captains would be evenly matched. I'm sure Hulk could take on Black Bolt, and Iron Man might be an even match for Captain Marvel, but the wildcard is Baron Mordo, who none of the Avengers would know how to counter.

Illuminati. First, there’s black bolt Maria marvel and Captian Carter. Also, if we’re doing the Illuminati before they kill Darkhold strange, there’s him. And Charles could control everyone (he can do it. That’s why apocalypse wanted his power)

I don't think Charles could warp Hulk, Thor or Vision though. If any one of those powerhouses flattens him first thing, the Illuminati've arguably lost their best weapon

If it was the AoU team, here's how I see them winning:

One of the three I just mentioned wipes out Professor X in seconds.

Considering Thor survived the full power of a star, I'll bet he could resist even Black Bolt or Quicksilver who can literally move faster than the speed of sound is another option.

Even pre-god level Wanda could probably at least match Mordo especially if she had backup from Hawkeye & Black Widow.

Cap could at least match Captain Carter.

Assuming the last three fights are still going this leaves Iron Man, Hulk, Vision and either Quicksilver or Thor against Mr. Fantastic & Maria Marvel. Considering we've seen classic Thor match a Captain Marvel alone and Hulk more or less match him, I think they could handle it.
