Good choice or bad ?
And if so who should be first ?
Good choice or bad ?
And if so who should be first ?
^^I wish you wouldn't call them "cave men".
It's nothing new, we already know mutants like Crule, Selene, Saul and Nicodemus was around during the Hyborian Age and long before that. There was even a island of mutants 15,000 years ago in Uncanny X-Men vol 1 422. The Celestials were on Earth a 1,000,000 years ago, creating the Deviants, Eternals and the X-Gen. Which Firehair, Highwalker and those of the Tribe Without Fear were possibly the result of the early generation of that work?
As for this 2 Billion years ago thing, I don't pay it given the hints of time travel and that they lived among humans but weren't from them. That and they were born from some Ra's al Ghul Lazarus Pit. Plus the "mutants" of Threshold that Theia now told us is not only different from what was revealed earlier but seems to fantastical to be legit.
^If Marvel Earth-616 is anything like ours 1 million years ago Homo erectus was the numerous form of humanity, and Fire hair would have looked completely different than them, and be completely ostracized amongst them.
The first appearance of Homo erectus was over 2 million years ago, Marvels first man was a 2,5 million years ago with humans started to walk upright about 2 million years.
Homo habillis 3 million years ago. That's when humanity began... They walked upright sometimes and quadrupeds sometimes. Bipedal motion became the norm amongst homo erectus. Homo sapien led to homo sapien-sapien. The cycle continues, for the moment.
Homo habillis or really any of that has nothing to do with what I was originally talking about, so I'm not going to go into all that. Marvels timelines can be a headache without trying to compare it with real world history. The first appearance of Homo erectus was over 2 million years ago, and Marvels first man (twines) was 2.5 million years ago with humans started to walk upright about 2 million years. Marvels Dawn of Man or Pleistocene Australopithecus was between 2.7 million to 2.5 million years ago. The break between Ape and human emerged 1 million years ago which saw the creation of the Eternals, Deviants and the X-Gen.
Either way, the issue with Firehair and the others seen in Avengers 1,000,000 BC was the artist decision. Hell in the flashback of Thea telling of Threshold, which was 2 billion years ago, there was humans there and they looked like us today. Which farther makes me think its all bull, and time travel and heavy lying is involved.
There supposedly were human like beings before that... Galan or Galactus came from their number. Of course Earth didn't exist when they came into being. It would seem that anthropomorphism existed in several different precursors to the modern Earth-616.
Humanity only actually began with the Homo genus... Homo habillis was such, with an appearance roughly 3.5-3 million years ago, if Colin Judge is to be believed in "The Time Before History", Peter Farb is to be believed in "Humankind ", and Daniel Quinn is to be believed in "The Story Of B ".
Well, i'd really prefer they retconned characters like the first man, we don't need mutants as old as humanity otherwise it detracts from the point of Humans in marvel at all
Do you mean Hunger or Forever Man? The Hunger being a mutant is a big maybe and so is it being a demonic entity, though I agree with it being a demonic entity. Mutants popping up before the Celestials created the X-Gene shouldn't be a thing, but with the Progenitor being revealed it is possible that a few mutants could of popped up before hand. I mean sure its possible that a mutant or 2 could of come about at the same time. But either way, I agree they shouldn't have been around at the very start of humans or before.
What do you think?
