No.
Redeem is a specific way to put it.
Redemption implies you've done something to make your past actions right. Make up for past wrongs.
Apocalypse's past wrongs were attempting to rule the world and force it into a state of social darwinism, a war of all against all where the strongest thrive.
However his goal was always supremacy of mutantdom.
In the krakoa era, his goals aligned with that of Krakoa, as krakoa had found a way to bring mutantdom to the peak of covilization. They made krakoa a nation that undoubtedly was one of the strongest in the world, and thus he had no need to push his agenda.
He earned the trust of the other mutants but redemption? No. He didnt even feel bad about his past actions. He'd do it again. But while krakoa was around, he had no reason to. His goals were essentially achieved. Especially since Apocalypse and his children were the original inhabitants of Okkara, and it was Apocalypse himself who split the island into Krakoa and Arakko.
So no, there was no real redemption. But in the world of krakoa, his goals aligned with the rest.
Nope, he still aims to remake the world into his own imagery.
Not his own image necessarily. Currently his obly goal is the strength and superiority of mutantdom
Oh, ok.
No. He isn't trying to be redeemed cause he doesn't feel his actions were wrong. He feels he has the right to do as he likes, and what he likes is to rule the world. Yes he is all about survival of the fittest and mutantdom, but under his rule and done in his fashion.
The Krakoa era did look at first like he was changing to another villain turned good. But that was all bull to get what he wants and he used everyone to make that happen. He's playing the long game and very one should be scared when he returns.
What do you think?
