Well, it looks like Fury is back to damage control... That can only be a good thing.
Now that we’re this far in I’ve decided to admit to myself that Im really not enjoying this show that much. Like, it’s alright, but it doesn’t meet the expectations I had. I don’t even know what they were, but like… this show isn’t good. That’s my opinion and it’s subjective of course, but I don’t feel too terribly invested in it like I should. I really don’t care about the new characters much. What it’s done to Fury saddens me. Not including superheroes in the Skrull Invasion is a bad move, I’ve come to feel.
What I think would’ve been best if they wanted to do a Secret Invasion show with Fury as the lead is something like this:
The show’s timeline jumps a lot. Start out after captain marvel, they’ve found a new home for the Skrulls. Fury is saying goodbye to talos but talos tells him the truth, there’s a splinter group of Skrulls who decided they were going to take over earth, that it would be their home planet. Talos offers to come with Nick to root them out and stop them. Make it a slow, long process. Time jumps to different eras. Show different events through Fury’s eyes. Go through the MCU timeline showing him working behind the scenes trying to find the Skrulls, even investigating the Avengers and other superheroes. Maybe he doesn’t succeed in figuring out who all is a Skrull until modern day. Then starts the big, EMH style invasion part. He finds the imprisoned heroes who were impersonated, stuff like that.
I didn’t explain my idea very well because I’m exhausted, but pretty much I feel like the scale of the show is just too small.
@Ensylum in order for it to be a "Secret Invasion" it needed to be small scale, subversive, covert, hidden. If it was more widespread there wouldn't be anyone attempting to root out subversives... It would be out and out war.
You have a plot, you have main players... Although, truthfully s.h.i.e.l.d. is a little too weak as an organization at this point to present much of a united front, and if the subversive skrulls are going to be dealt with, it will require their own people to stop them.
Who do you guys think he called, at the end?
Someone from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. cast, Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, G'iah or no one.
It's most likely carol, I think.
Hoping the conclusion will be satisfying
If gravik doesn't die. It will not be satisfying.
