Ghost Rider, a name taken by different people who signed the contract with Mephisto to serve as enforcers when innocent blood is spilled. They tend to have their form enveloped in hellfire, which they can manipulate or use to upgrade their vehicles. Their strength and durability varies depending on the circumstances, but they can take blows from Hulk and are comparable to Spider-Man. They can heal from most damage and purge wicked souls out of their sins, as well as travel through dimensions. But their most infamous ability is to inflict every ounce of pain to people they have ever caused in their lifetime just by having them stare into their eye sockets.

Thanos, a Mad Titan with superhuman strength surpassing that of Eternals and can manipulate energies & matter. He is invulnerable to physical harm, always returning upon being killed, as he is banned from afterlife. He has access to psychic attacks and teleporting chair. He is also sadomasochist, being unfazed by Frank Castle Ghost Rider's used Penance Stare on King Thanos.

But in another comic, normal Thanos was incinerated.

So, should Penance Stare work on Thanos or not?
