Personally I loved it, I would play it religiously, but after an update the events became more pay to win for characters so I fell off, but this was theeee game for me for a time

Avengers Academy was an amazing game, but I also agree with @Mutant Paladin . Too much pay to win.

This game was SO fun and I miss it! It was like a better version of Clash of Clans.

Why Clash of Clans? I get more of a Game loft city builder vibe. Did it have combat like CoC?

No, the combat was VERY different. My point is that like most of the other aspects like building your own academy/village and etc.
