8/10 most characters that are mutants are very well written and their lore is pretty interesting although often times extremely convoluted

True which is why I wouldn’t give anything a 10 in comics but there were times that mutants were solid lore wise and they just added random stuff for no real reason

Good enough. But when it comes to learning about characters, powers or races in this franchise, it’s honestly impeccably intriguing.

11/10 actually. The allegories for racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and so on are spot-on. The core characters are all flawed and interesting. The antagonists are all captivating and the few that are purely evil are still captivating. Magneto will always hold a spot in my heart. The few flaws in the writing are offset and outnumbered by really, really good stories like God Loves Man Kills and Age of Apocalypse.

6/10, I have never been a fan of powers you have to be born with. There's also the many overpowered mutants, the inconsistences in stories (this is the fault of writers, not the mutants themselves) and a few other things.

However, it cannot be denied how iconic they are and their importance in the Marvel universe.
