Franklin Richards and Apocalypse. The most powerful Mutant in entire existence vs. the first Mutant in existence. Given Apocalypse's whole ideology and goals, Franklin Richards would be a perfect key to their accomplishment.

I'm just going to say that Apocalypse is NOT the "first mutant in existence", Selene for example, is much older.
Not the point of the post, plus the First Mutant is Apocalypse's title.
I still find it odd Franklin is a mutant when nobody else in his family is.
@Dr. Nice it happens in marvel
@Splitnut plus, its mainly random when mutants are born from human parents, like the Guthires, but I guess with Reed and Sue (like Peter in some universes) being mutates, can grant you more mutates or more likely mutants
@Invincibleprime Obviously not canon but my head canon is that mutants (at least the mutant baby booms) are an evolutionary response to supernatural (magical/extradimensional), superhuman (Inhumans, Eternals, mutates etc.), and extra-terrestrial beings. Creatures with such amazing powers interacting with and coming into conflict with humanity caused evolution to jump ahead really quickly.
I also like the idea that the mutant boom post WW2 is due to nuclear radiation.
Weren’t his parents super powered tho? It would make sense they gave birth to a mutant considering what gave them they’re powers
Apoc better imo
@Splitnut honestly, its not even just headcannon, they have introduced many theories about mutants getting certain powers based off their environments
What do you think?
