@The Wise Turtle Sage That is very stupid...but don't worry bro, 99% of all those alleged 'plot leaks' are either all just sucked out of the big thumb, or stating the obvious with claims of insider information. This is the first thing. Never that it was Steve Rogers creating the Incursions. If any event caused that, it was the death of He Who Remains at the hands of Sylvie at the End of Time, which caused the Multiverse to branch out and timelines to collide and collapse. I totally agree. I'm not the biggest fan of Chris Evans returning as Steve Rogers too. With Endgame, his story was indeed done. Old guy, lived long enough to give Sam Wilson the shield, then died peacefully in all privacy, while the people of Earth think he's living in a S.H.I.E.L.D. base on the moon. I don't think any of these things were the original plan to begin with. Evans and Steve wouldn't have ever returned if this film was still Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, I know that...
So we practically spoiled the film? Great...
@TDKReturns487 Nah. Most likely one of those so-called 'scoopers' that actually have 0 insiders information about what's actually happening in Hollywood, just spreading clickbait crap. And I don't talk about outlets like THR and Deadline. I talk about scoopers like MyTimeToShineHello. Just clicka-dee-clickbait. To give people both false hope and false disappointment. I don't believe anything about the film unless we see set photos, merchandise leaks and trailers. Other than that some plot leaks can be verified by set photos and merchandise, or even what the other films show us. It's quite funny to me that they talk heavily about the role of Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel in the film, yet both Benedict Cumberbatch and Brie Larson haven't been revealed as part of the film. And all the alleged 'set photos' showing potential first looks at Doctor Doom, it's all AI-generated sloppy work. We don't know ANYTHING about Avengers: Doomsday other than what Disney/Marvel and/or reliable insiders have told us...
@Spider-Fan FR Knowing from my experience with the Star Wars sequels, they probably don't even have a plot for those two Avengers films.
The source is MyTimeToShineHello so thereās a 90% chance this is bullshit. Some of yāall need to stop blindly believing everything you see online.
@TDKReturns487 I wouldn't say so. The Russo Brothers might not have the best films on their names outside of what they did for Marvel Studios, but what they did for Marvel Studios was some of the best storytelling we've ever seen. Remember, the Secret Wars storyline is one they always wanted to adapt. They grew up with the original comics and the 2015 Secret Wars comics released when they were working with Marvel. BUT I agree that, unlike for Infinity War and Endgame, they have less to work with. This relatively late switch from Kang The Conqueror to Doctor Doom is what's making the job to make these films much harder. Imagine they had set up Thanos, but around 2017, Josh Brolin was fired by Marvel Studios and they brought in...I don't know, Tobey Maguire or Hugh Jackman, to play Galactus. And I don't think it's the issue of a known face with a big legacy in the Marvel fandom returning to play a villain. It's having a different villain altogether. No matter if they put RDJ, Mads Mikkelsen or Cillian Murphy behind the mask, it would have been hard to make it work. I'm curious as to what they're going to make out of it. I'm afraid we'll all be left disappointed. People are thinking Spider-Man: Brand New Day will outgross Doomsday, and that possibility is real. The same goes for the old DCEU, the MCU or the new DCU; eventually those franchises will die, but the Big Three of superheroes (Spider-Man, Superman, Batman) will always remain. Anything that they show up in themselves will do good.
@SpiderFan2104 The casting of Dr D and the Russo brothers latest film track has me worried for Doomsday and Secret Wars, but I think the biggest issue of all is how this film may throw in the whole Nostalgia card and only be it's top priority than good story or quality. And it's no doubt they will adapt the Secret Wars 2015 story since that pretty much is the version that is most popular, but even still, adapting it into a film may prove disastrous either way.
Though, in a benefit of Hindsight, I think I will possibly give Spider-Man Brand New Day a shot with the return of Punisher and Daredevil (and hopefully the introduction of the mutant hero Firestar) but that's really where all my hope for current MCU success is going. And if you're assumption is correct, it could be the only billion dollar hit in that year or even higher than that of the next Avengers films.
How is the multiverse collapsing bc Steve spent like 50 years in the past with Peggy but it isn't collapsing bc of all of the shit that happens in EVERY MCU multiversal movie/show?
^DSATMOM? SMNWH? D&W? So... Steve somehow did more than any other cross time shenanigans? It's finally happening, the movie writers have finally lost more of their minds than the current comics writers.
@Dr. Nice I think it's Kevin Feige and Bob iger that have lost their shit.
What do you think?
