DISCLAIMER: As the title states, I will only review the story about Silk and Brawn written by Maurene Goo with art from Lynne Yoshi colored by Sebastian Cheng.
With that out of the way, prepare for potential minor SPOILERS.
Our story starts with Cindy Moon and Amadeus Cho on a boat trip to Statue of Liberty. The latter describes New Yorkers as angry to which Moon makes a remark about him being a Korean and introduces readers to the concept of Han.
Our duo notice all tourists but themselves, quote "Hulk out" and they see the birds surrounding Lady Liberty. Silk-Senses go nuts. Silk and Brawn jump into action and it turns out Scarecrow ( @BANEkilla98 knows this guy, not as cool as DC one tho) wanted to anger the people and make Avengers show up. He's pretty disappointed when he sees our 'B team' as he calls them. They also give him the lecture about Asian-American experience. The ending is Silk and Brawn looking into the sunset contemplating how certain people can't change.
What do you think about this story and Marvel's Voices: Identity in general (if you've read it)? Especially the Asian people?
For me, it was quite inspirational and the social commentary didn't feel too forced. Silk and Brawn's team-up is as good as always.
Brawn has been eliminated!
