The Classic Comic Uniform
When you think of Henchmen this uniform comes to mind. As stated before this look is classic and makes Hydra stand out from the crowd, it really has become a staple of the organization so much so that even to this day we see variants that branch off from this original design.
Era Appropriate Uniform
This uniform is authentic to the 1940s and gives off a more realistic feel to the SS division turned Terrorist Group. For me, and this could simply be because of the opening scene, it is reminded of the original Wolfenstein Paranormal Division.
The Pulpy/Dieselpunk Uniform
This uniform could be simply described as the live action adaptation of the classic uniform, but it’s more then that. This uniform was inspired by pulp science fiction popular that was popular in the era, it is “space age” and invokes the German Super Science trope that is very prominent in Dieselpunk fiction.
The Modern “Uniform”
I put this one in quotations because there is no definitive modern Hydra Uniform. This could be simply explained away with the fact that America’s biggest threat in pop culture has shifted from an powerful foreign regimes (i.e Nazi Germany and The Soviet Union) to less centralized terrorist organizations (i.e Al-Qaeda and The Taliban). Given varying nature of the groups modern Hydra is supposed to loosely represent their uniforms, where they have them, are of an equally varying quality. Some modern varieties range from a paramilitary design with modern camo and military equipment to more rugged biker gear and civilian wear.
