We all know that The Walt Disney Company owns two of the most iconic and big name franchises to exist: Marvel Comics and Star Wars both of whom have had numerous films, TV shows, video games, comics and amusement park rides over the years most of whom have been pretty successful.
Marvel Comics has published Star Wars comics twice in its history once from 1977-1987 for a total of 107 issues and again since 2015 with full comic series and limited series/one-shots.
That being said legally speaking Marvel could crossover with Star Wars if they wanted to and should they here are the parameters/rules in place for this to work:
The title is Galactic Wars being pretty obvious as to what it's about.
Galactic Wars is set in an alternate continuity called Earth-61677 for the Marvel Universe and its own separate canon for the Star Wars Universe.
It will cover the Skywalker Saga films (Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Episode IV: A New Hope, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, Episode VII: The Force Awakens, Episode IX: The Last Jedi and Episode X: The Rise of Skywalker) as well as the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.
The participants are the Marvel Universe side are the Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool and S.W.O.R.D., for other characters such as the Defenders, the Midnight Sons, the Inhumans, the Runaways, the New Warriors, Namor the Sub-Mariner and global heroes such as Alpha Flight, Winter Guard and Captain Britain they will get some tie-in issues and might show up later. For the Star Wars Universe side we have the Jedi, the Sith, the Galactic Republic/Galactic Empire/First Order, the Alliance to Restore the Republic/Rebel Alliance/New Republic and The Resistance. The lineups of the Marvel Universe side are based on their best known incarnations (Avengers: MCU/comics, X-Men: 1960s Lee/Kirby comics, 1970s/1980s/1990s Claremont comics, 1990s animated series and 2000s Morrison comics, Fantastic Four: 1960s Lee/Kirby comics/2010s Hickman comics, Guardians of the Galaxy: MCU, Deadpool: comics/films, S.W.O.R.D.: comics, Defenders: MCU, the Runaways: MCU/comics etc.) while the lineups of the Star Wars Universe side are based off both Canon and Legends (Emperor Palpatine's past is taken from the 2012 novel Darth Plagueis, the Yuuzhan Vong appear at one point, Galen Marek and Juno Eclipse appear and the Knights of the Old Republic are referenced etc.)
It shall be in comic/Original Graphic Novel form.
The installments are Galactic Wars: The Clone Wars, Galactic Wars:The Rebellion, Galactic Wars: The Resistance, various one-shots/tie-ins and Barris Offee's Journey to the Center of Sol.
An as a bonus, I already had written up this idea myself going as far into the Galactic Wars: The Clone Wars' fourth chapter and previous chapters focusing on how Earth and its heroes got into the Clone Wars on the side of the Galactic Republic after the subsequent invasion of Earth by the Separatist Alliance/Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS), the Battle of Geonosis, the liberation of Ryloth, the Malevolence and more will focus on Cad Bane and his bounty hunter crew, the Lurmen colonists, alternate versions of The Dark Phoenix Saga and Secret Wars, The Mandalorians and Satine Kyrze, the Nightbrothers and Nightsisters of Dathomir, the slavers of Zygerria, the Blue Shadow Virus, the Zillo Beast, the Order 66/Jedi Temple bombing and the final year of the Clone Wars. The next one, Galactic Wars: The Rebellion would focus primarily on Star Wars Rebels for the first 9 chapters and the later ones on the original trilogy and Galactic Wars: The Resistance is on the sequel trilogy.
What do you think of the idea? There have been some fanfictions that have also been about a Marvel Universe/Star Wars crossover but what are your thoughts on my take on the idea.
