I did this a while back with a bunch of characters but I've had a bunch of great ideas since then so here we are:

1. Sienna Miller as Susan Storm.

Mandy Moore was my first choice but then I saw Sienna in a couple things & now I'm totally convinced. As for Emily Blunt, the personalities really never matched up.

2. Jai Courtney as Taskmaster

He's got the build, voice & could totally do Taskmaster's personality in the comics. If you've ever seen Divergent, picture that guy but a complete badass.

3. Jake Mcdorman as Richard Rider

I was watching Limitless around the same time I was reading a lot of Nova and the personalities clash really well. The whole capable, not totally qualified but hero person.

4. Robert Carlyle as Mephisto

If you've ever seen Once Upon a Time, you'll totally get casting him as an invincible trickster. If you haven't.....take some time & watch the show already, geez.

5. Luke Evans as Namor

I just mentioned this in another post but it really works. The whole ultra-intense rageful king vibe is really good on him.

6. Orlando Bloom as Adam Warlock

I don't know if someone else's already been casted but if not here's my candidate. After LotR & PotC, he could totally pull off the golden space Jesus role.

7. Julianne Hough as Dazzler

Duh. After watching Footloose & Rock of Ages, you could not convince me anyone else is better qualified if you had brainwashing tech.

Thanks to the Cosmic Circus, the potential ending of the upcoming MCU Nova project has been revealed.

To the joy of many fans, it seems that Marvel Studios aims to utilize both iterations (Richard Rider and Sam Alexander) of Nova at the same time. The site compares the potential situation to that of Insomniac's Spider-Man franchise on PS4/PS5, where Miles and Peter are both active at the same time. As such, Rider would already be established as Nova while introducing Sam Alexander to take the mantle as well.

While the details of what would happen throughout the project are unknown, The Cosmic Circus mentioned that by the end of the movie or series, both of the Novas would remain active. Neither would be replaced by the other.

Richard Rider would mostly stay in space and deal with the larger cosmic-scale events and conflicts, while Sam Alexander would stay on Earth, focusing on the more street-level threats and potentially interacting with other younger heroes. No details were known as to how long Rider would have been already established, or if their intentions with Sam have anything to do with all the young heroes being introduced into the MCU.

It's important to reiterate how these are all still strictly rumors. While the site mentioned that the details have remained consistent throughout the last year or two, many things could change by the time it finally reaches production.

Calling all Nova Fans, Marvel Studios' Nova Project Receives Exciting Disney+ Update:

Richard Rider is officially confirmed to be coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Per Deadline, Moon Knight writer Sabir Pirzada is scribing a Nova project with Marvel Studios. There is no word whether Nova will be a theatrical film or a streaming series for Disney+, although sources say the latter is "likely."

I swear, ask any Marvel Comics fan, and they'll say this is a long time coming, But the long-time-coming vibe extends to Marvel Studios' creators as well.

Avengers: Infinity War screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely revealed they originally penciled Nova in as the hero to crash through the Sanctum Sanctorum and warn Doctor Strange of Thanos's imminent arrival, but that spot ultimately went to Mark Ruffalo's Hulk.

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has also noted he has "probably read 75%" of the character's comics. Kevin Feige even referred to Nova as someone who would enter the MCU with "immediate potential."

Regarding the production status of Nova, earlier rumors pointed to this project's production kicking off "sometime in 2023." With Sabir Pirzada, who is credited as co-writer on half of Moon Knight's episodes, tapped to write, Marvel Studios looks to be utilizing the remainder of this calendar year for the project's development.
