What's y'all's opinions on symbiotes? I only like scream and Toxin. The others are overrated.
Hi, this is another post about Queer Love That Was Never Shown. Today's topi, Andrea 'Andi' Benton a.k.a Mania a.k.a Scream a.k.a Silence and homeless girl from F.E.A.S.T. she met, Guinevere.
Following the cancellation of Scream: Curse of Carnage, Clay McLeod Chapman was asked whether he had planned to establish Andi Benton as a lesbian or bisexual with Guinevere as a love interest, and responded in a teasing manner that he would never tell.
Now, let's look at their interactions from #6 of aforementioned comic, shall we?
And that's it, really. It ain't much but they seem to start off the right foot. But because of Andi trying not to lose more people she's been attached to (like Flash Thompson or her mom) and Scream: CoC getting cancelled, we've never seen more. Shame, because I'd love to see that.
What do you think? Would they make a good couple? Or just friends?
Fan art found on DeviantArt.
I saw this on deviantart and this artist made a awesome concept if Scream was erfected by Poison
I was looking through the search for any Scream for marvel but none so I made one tell me what you think or what needs improvements
Or if you have a request YOU want to see just comment and I'll see what I can do.
(don't question why she is cannibal well its kinda like the Movie Venom so don't judge me pls)
Proceed at your own risk.
Scream as Symbiote Kaiju wasn't bad but it was a bit underwhelming how quickly they defeated her. Venom possessing Wolverine's mech suit was more interesting plot point, as well as Shuri and T'Challa (@BashengaTheFirst ) finding Red Skull's weakness: he uses his willpower (or rather Amygdala) to shape Infinite Mirror Shards, but if he loses confidence, he might be more vulnerable. Speaking of Red Skull, he finally fights heroes directly.
Oh, and Tony is still a selfish dick who doesn't trust anyone. 😂
Scream VS Riot, Vote in Comments
Hey guys!
Theses are a series of discussions on whether or not certain characters have what it takes to be an Avenger.
Todays Candidate: Scream
Do you think Scream has what it takes to be an Avenger? Why or why not?
Would you like to see them as part of the team?
How do you see it happening?
What would they bring to the team?
How would they fit in socially?
And as always, please send me your recommendations!
I just have to say, this is all I expected from Scream in this comic! Hellmark action against Hybrid was cool and it was wholesome seeing her save yet another homeless orphan like she's supposed to. I want more and I can't wait till March for KiB: Scream tie-in.
Now, let's mention Ravencroft. Plague is really nice concept and Cortland Kassady lives up to the name as he makes everyone in the institute cough. He leaves to serve Knull elsewhere though and I didn't care for it as much as for Scream.
Here is part 2 I might make 1 a day you guys can decide but this match up goes to scream vs toxin
Standard powers
It will take place in a factory
They do have hosts which are just the original hosts
Sorry for long delay. I'll be brief.
I'm gonna tell you my general thoughts about Scream comics.
Absolute Carnage: Scream was great. Seeing Symbiote invasion from Scream perspective is nice and scarily exciting. The battle with Carnage is also great and the whole comic gives you chills.
Scream: Curse of Carnage isn't as thrilling as that but it's a bit better as it focuses on the host and her trauma. I love the story of it. The connection between Andi and Scream was well developed. It teaches us important lesson: Your family isn't made by blood and you can find it in complete strangers or even people you hate at first. And I like Andi as a homeless superhero for homeless people which differentiate her a bit from Brock.
About the villain, Big Mother is okay. She had interesting undead Symbiotes she used to trick Scream with Andi's mother disguise. She wanted to be a mother which is not bad motivation. And her flashbacks written like Bewoulf legend with Bewoulf as Thor fighting Symbiotes are nice and give you goosebumps.
Now, it's sad this run was canceled right at the start of Suffer the Children. It would have been a cool horror crime mystery with demonic aspects. Plus, it's a pity we didn't see how Hell-Mark would work with Scream.
But not all hope is lost. Scream will appear in King in Black: Planet of the Symbiotes, with her symbiotic siblings. The creative team of Absolute Carnage: Scream and Web of Venom: Wraith will be behind them. I hope it will be at least as good as other two comics.
Thanks @Fatebuoy for encouraging me to do this.
As the title states, I'll explain what I like about Andi Benton as Scream. I hope some of you might look at this character differently.
This post will be about Scream symbiote itself.
First of all, as you know, it was one of 5 Venom's off-springs in Lethal Protector. Donna Diego was her first host. Later, Eddie Brock killed her leaving Scream without one. He also murdered the host of Hybrid (consisting of its siblings). In Absolute Carnage event, the symbiote came back and bonded with the first person it found who was Patricia Robertson (a former host to clone of Venom which would later become Mania symbiote) but after Carnage killed her, Andi Benton (also bonded with Mania) was the next host. It's noteworthy that Hybrid who also came back died while Scream was still out there.
Secondly, I should mention its capabilities. As other Symbiotes it can change shape and heal the host. Its unique trait is tendrills made with trichokinesis (ability to control hair) which is cool. With Andi it unlocked many interesting abilities as well. For example, it changed her entire body structure to be able to swim like a fish. It made her wings to fly out of the water too. Moreover, as we saw on Scream: Curse of Carnage #8 cover, it would use OP and badass Hell Mark (more about it and Mania symbiote next time) if this series weren't canceled.
To sum up, what do I like about Scream? It has nice abilities, cool design and it was the only Symbiote created by Life Foundation who roamed independently instead of joining the Hybrid. This way, she is a quite unique Symbiote and a good alternative to (sometimes) overused Venom and Carnage.
