DISCLAIMER: As the title states, I will only review the story about Silk and Brawn written by Maurene Goo with art from Lynne Yoshi colored by Sebastian Cheng.
With that out of the way, prepare for potential minor SPOILERS.
Our story starts with Cindy Moon and Amadeus Cho on a boat trip to Statue of Liberty. The latter describes New Yorkers as angry to which Moon makes a remark about him being a Korean and introduces readers to the concept of Han.
Our duo notice all tourists but themselves, quote "Hulk out" and they see the birds surrounding Lady Liberty. Silk-Senses go nuts. Silk and Brawn jump into action and it turns out Scarecrow ( @BANEkilla98 knows this guy, not as cool as DC one tho) wanted to anger the people and make Avengers show up. He's pretty disappointed when he sees our 'B team' as he calls them. They also give him the lecture about Asian-American experience. The ending is Silk and Brawn looking into the sunset contemplating how certain people can't change.
What do you think about this story and Marvel's Voices: Identity in general (if you've read it)? Especially the Asian people?
For me, it was quite inspirational and the social commentary didn't feel too forced. Silk and Brawn's team-up is as good as always.

Starting where we left off, in Cindy's room. Saya tells Silk about Kasha's plan to use killed gangsters in a ritual to bring back the demon god. When Moon asks her how did she find her apartment, she explains that her tech Silk retrieved had tracking devices. Both of them want to use Fujinet tech to defeat Kasha. To use it, Silk tried to text Spider-Man and Mockingbird for their science knowledge and resources respectively, but both were busy. So, Cindy and Saya go with Albert to Lola's workplace, United World Defense Council, instead. Later, Silk and Ichii face against Kasha and her master with super-strength and drones (remember Saya's tech powers from last issue? Turns out they're just drones made from her earrings) with Albert and Lola as their support. Two ladies team-up, defeat the summoned diety and Saya uses her drones to take out Kasha... by exploding her head! After short remark about the experiences Moon and Ichii went through in their lives, Silk gets distracted by the gangsters and the head of Fujinet leaves with her brother, Max (Silk is shocked to hear that her substitute therapist was in this scheme from the start). The only thing they left was a piece of cloth with "We'll always have the cave" written on it. Cindy goes back to writing her article. When JJJ imples that Silk took out the cat demon, his employee says that Silk would not kill Kasha. The issue ends with Silk swinging while Albert and Lo text each other and make plans to hang out together.
What do you think? This whole run was fun imho. Its action was a bit lesser than in previous runs but art, character-driven plot and respect to Silk mythos make up for it. This issue was still too short. I hope we'll see more of Silk later.

Silvermane tells Cindy the truth about his daughter, Saya Ichii. He concieved her with Matsuko during his business trip to Japan. Saya was born soon after he left. When she was 16 he visited her and her mom and asked the latter to use tech to prolong his life. When his daughter graduated he took her as an intern. She shared passion for tech with her mother. Later, Manfredi died and Saya wanted to compete with his greatness. As Moon and Manfredi are talking Ichii confronts Kasha, who's in the middle of the ritual to summon her master. Saya uses her aura to manipulate tech (seemingly) in her mobile phone to make arrows, a sword and drones. Back in the city, Cindy uses pepper spray on Silvermane's goons and escapes. Silk goes to her apartment where she finds Saya asking her for help.
What do you think? This issue was nice. Saya's powers are versatile and make her a formidable foe. Some stuff Silvermane mentioned was not perfectly clear at first but at least we know her story.
Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been on the wiki for a while. I was very busy over the past few weeks. As of now, Silk has been eliminated!
Sorry, I have nothing bad to say about Silk. She is just too darn cool.

The issue starts with Cindy at the therapy with Max. She tells him that she deals with stress at work protecting people she care about. Suddenly, it's interrupted by text message from Derrick. She rushes to the spa where another gang murder happened, jumping into action unlike police officers that are present there. Kasha leaves the spa with one gangster dead. Silk goes into JJJ house to make sure he's safe. She eats a dinner with him (and makes him cover his eyes so he cannot learn her secret identity) and they have a chat. Next, Silk meets Lola and learns about Saya Ichii's social media life. Cindy Moon goes to Ichii's place where the bodyguards expect her. She starts an interview about the gang murders and Fujinet. We learn that Cindy is Taurus and Saya is a Cancer. Then, Saya has some electric aura and Silk-Sense warns Moon. Ichii makes a suggestion she might know her secret identity (using silk pun) and says she's Silk fangirl. But then she threatens Cindy and her loved ones. Moon fights with the bodyguards and jump out of the window. Later, she receives a note from mysterious source claiming to possess info about future head of Fujinet. Meanwhile, said head of tech company goes to some spooky cave where Kasha summon some demon god. Back to Cindy, she meets Silvermane... who seems to be Saya's father?
What did you think? I was glad to see Lola back. And I love Saya Ichii as a villain. She makes it more personal than any other Silk villains (and she does it faster too). Plus, Cindy really shows her courage and maturity here.

The issue starts at TNM. Cindy Moon is looking at article made by her and Derick Rivera. Peter Parker texts her (she has his number marked as P💩P) explaining that 'Galaxy-saving stuff' doesn't let him keep an eye on Queens. Derick goes to the meeting of the Cannibals, where Silk saves him from Kasha. Our web warrior fights the cat demon who starts slaughtering the gangsters and breaks Silk's ribs. The cat demon meets with Saya Ichii and invokes her father, who was natural leader. Later, back at TNM Jonah wants a bunch of gang members to call a truce and Silk, his bodyguard, is sent to their sauna to keep things safe. She returns home and says to Albert that she doesn't want to see naked man again. Cindy eats asian food left by her mom and the siblings joke about her and reflect of their past adventures. After that, Cindy goes to therapist but Dr Sinclair took a break indifintely, due to family business. Moon is reluctant to go see some rando, but after she sees handsome male Japanese-American therapist named Max she eventually goes inside. She tells him about her work and the case of gang murders. Then, she leaves Max, who calls Saya Ichii! Turns out, his alias is Brother Bear and it was Ichii who wanted him to take Cindy as a patient. His father is also involved. The issue ends with Kasha doing some ritual and Saya telling Max she has everything under control.
What did you think about the issue? Besides stuff from previous issue that is equally good here, I love that we got to see new take of Silk's therapy sessions.

Ok, let's start with brief recap. Silk stops the robbery at fashion store and gets a coat as a gift. We see Cindy in her apartment with her brother who's at 2nd semester in FIT (they both moved from their parents house). Then, she starts her first day at TNM and meets her new colleague, Derick. They go investigate a gang murder scene in Queens. Something's off. They find some fur there. Later, Cindy writes an articule about it which gets JJJ into trouble as two guys threatens to hurt him. Silk saves him and Jonah (after insisting) conviences her to be his bodyguard. Back at home, Moon examines the comm of one of the crooks that attacked Jameson and, after some digging, she finds out that it was from Fujinet, founded by Matsuko Ishii and ran by her daughter, Saya. The latter meets with some cat demon at the end, planning something evil.
I loved it. It has everything you could expect from a Silk comic with addition of a detective story. It's short but nice. My only issue is that she mentioned her bunker a bit too often but it doesn't take away any joy from reading this.

About 5-6 years ago I was first introduced to Silk. But she didn't appear in any cartoons and I didn't have her comics. So, how did I know about her? It's simple. Video games.
And if you're looking for games she appeared in, I've got you covered.
Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Cindy_Moon_(Earth-13122)
Marvel Avengers Alliance https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Cindy_Moon_(Earth-12131)
Marvel Avengers Academy https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Cindy_Moon_(Earth-TRN562)
Marvel Future Fight (the best Marvel mobile game I've ever played) https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Cindy_Moon_(Earth-TRN012)
Last but not least, Spider-Man Unlimited. That was the game that told me who Silk was first. https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Cindy_Moon_(Earth-TRN461)
And that's all? Maybe but I don't think so. There are speculations she will appear in Marvel's Spider-Man PS4 sequel. I think she might be added to Marvel Strikeforce, Marvel Puzzle Quest or Marvel Battle Lines. I hope other games will feature her as well.
Which of these game appearences is your favourite? What would you change there? Which future or current games she should appear in?
A lot of sellers on eBay state a character's first appearance, which is great.
But which is the first appearance that matters?
I never really thought of this until recently when on eBay I noticed two separate listing for Silk's first appearance. One being Spiderman Vol 3 #1 and the other Spiderman Vol 3 #4.
Both are technically right.
In #1 She is just Cindy Moon In #4 she is Silk.
I like to buy first appearances to eventually slab if they're worth it.
But which would you think would be best?
