Who do you guys think is better for our lovable, goofy web-head?
mj
Gwen
Felicia (Personal fav)
With the whole Paul situation. Is it true that the character was some self insert?
Have any of you ever thought about this. Technically the symbiotes are cannibals because they take over a human host and the symbiotes eat humans.
But the human host is still inside them so when the symbiotes eat humans it is techically cannibalisim .
Carnage:
Cletus:
So who's more powerful in a death battle against each other?
I know that people often dislike when another universe does something differently than how it was done in 616, but in my experience the dislike towards non-alien/artificial symbiotes seems to be disproportionate to that.
And can you rank the 10 strongest in order?
WARNING! Spoilers for Cult of Carnage: Misery (2023) #1. Proceed at your own risk!
Recap:
This issue starts with Liz Allan reminiscing about Harry Osborn and discovering a closet with his Green Goblin gear.
The next day, she sends a team of Spearhead and Guardsmen to take it out and gets with a minor argument with Normie and Stanley.
After that, she goes to speak with Dr. Steven about development of a mix between Carnage and Anti-Venom Symbiotes.
Next, we're introduced to one of the villains: Corwin Jones.
Later, Liz meets with Life Foundation and one of her doctor friends.
And then, we get our bad guy breaking into Alchemax.
He steals all the Symbiotes... except one!
Liz bonds with the Symbiote and becomes....!
My thoughts:
I loved this issue! The art was great and it was interesting to see Liz jugggling her family and workplace struggles. She's a great mother (in both meanings of the word😏)! The villain isn't so bad. My only issue is a plothole regarding Toxin. How tf did it end up here?! It was last bonded with Bren Waters, was it not?
Anyway, what did you think?
I'd like to know why some here think the Symbiotes are one of the most overrated species in Marvel.
The title says it all.
Has your favourite character ever bonded to a Symbiote? If yes, show us panel(s) where it happened.
If not, show us a cover art or fan art where that was the case (for the latter, please give credit to an artist who made it).
The first two pics are variant covers for Silk Vol 4 #2 and #3 respectively. The last one is a fan art drawn by an artist named Kary who's on Twitter and ArtStation.
The concept of a symbiote as portrayed in popular culture, such as in the Marvel Comics character Venom, is a complex organism that can form a mutually beneficial bond with a host. The idea of a symbiotic organism that can exist in real life in a liquid form is a hypothetical concept and would require several conditions to be met.
Firstly, the symbiote substance would need to have a stable and consistent structure that allows it to maintain its shape and function while in a liquid form. This could potentially be achieved through a complex network of interlocking molecules or by using a self-assembling material that can form a stable structure.
Secondly, the symbiote would need to be able to recognize and attach to a host organism. This could be achieved through chemical signals or receptors that are specific to the host organism. Once attached, the symbiote would need to be able to establish a mutually beneficial relationship with the host.
Thirdly, the symbiote would need to be able to absorb nutrients and eliminate waste products from the host organism. This could potentially be achieved through a network of small tubes or channels that allow the symbiote to exchange materials with the host.
The existence of the symbiote Stem appears to be more plausible since it is composed mainly of stem cells that can bond together and alter their shape, but the cells would need to decrease in size compared to regular stem cells. Having a symbiote would also increase the host's mass.
What do you think?
This is a discussion for you to make your own symbiote.
Things to consider:
Colors
Gender (Mostly for design because they do not actually have genders)
Powers
Weaknesses
What does it feed on to survive?
Does it need a host?
Is it conscious, can it think without a host?
To make a unique symbiote, try using either a real chemical or cell or protein to determine the type of symbiote it is and how it works.
Also, remaking other people's symbiotes is fine too as long as you don't take credit for the symbiote idea.
For example, here is my symbiote
Symbiotes are a highly unusual and exotic species of extraterrestrial life-forms that are unable to survive in environments that lack a suitable atmosphere. To sustain themselves, they must bond with a host, and one such symbiote is the rare and benevolent entity known as Stem. Unlike other symbiotes who feed on phenethylamine, Stem nourishes itself on glucose and, in an effort to maintain the integrity of its physical form, it restricts itself to only generating four tendrils at a time. Stem possesses an exceptional capability to manipulate and heal living things and can even replicate the skills and memories of individuals through simple physical contact. It is also able to shapeshift and mimic the appearance, as well as the physiological traits, of a wide range of creatures and people, including powers. However, it is crucial to note that its mimicking abilities are limited to physiological powers and cannot duplicate magical abilities. In addition to these abilities, Stem boasts a superhuman intellect and is remarkably adept at developing advanced technology, and is capable of instantly absorbing vast amounts of information. Despite its many strengths, Stem is not without weaknesses. Sonic and heat-based attacks can weaken and ultimately destroy it, and it requires regular physical contact and exposure to glucose to maintain its bond with a host. In conclusion, Stem is a formidable and highly intelligent symbiote that sets itself apart from its peers with its exceptional abilities. Despite its weaknesses, it remains a powerful and valuable asset to those who are fortunate enough to bond with it. Stem has green eyes, a blue body, and dark blue teeth.
