I got an email...
See, sometimes the stars align and we all starting working on the same thing. Go team!
This is a perfect time for this. I have tweaked my bot scripts a lot and I am tackling the backlog of volume and comic moves.
This is good info and I will get it added to the mix.
I'm in favor of dropping Earth-1218 on people. Makes things simpler.
Got it. Thanks.
One more question. Is there particular code in the new template to show a title change in a volume? Or do I just need to use the |PreviousVol field, even though it is kind of the same volume...
Having a problem with two volume pages.
Motormouth Vol 1 changed titles at issue 6 to Motormouth & Killpower Vol 1. I have moved the files for issues 6-12, but they are not showing up in the volume page.
This is amazing work. Thanks for working hard on this. It looks really good. No criticisms yet, but I will spend some more time with it.
@dan - Reusing the old numbers would wipe out their history, as well as not solving the problem of new growth
@ice - Adding new letters (and especially a colon, which causes lots of problems with bots and templates) also doesn't seem to be the best solution
In my opinion, when we get to TRN1000, we just start using four digits at that point. That allows us to move forward for a long time and avoids have to change the past
You are correct that we need to be considering this now, but I think that a retroactive change of all TRNs to show five digits would be beyond the range of our abilities, even with bots.
I vote a reluctant 'yay'. Second chances are good, but lots of second chances have been given. A continued cooling off time, like you suggested, is wise.
This is an amazing amount of work. You have done a great job! Let me know if there is anything that a bot run could help fix.
Also, I just edited the previous comment to fix some typos :)
His comments here are something I find most damning, where he says he doesn't have a history of reckless behavior. He doesn't seem to recognize that his behavior with people is reckless and has gotten him multiple bans. CORRECTION: It has gotten him banned once before.
That said, I am a fan of grace and mercy. If we are looking for compromises, why don't we leave the ban in place for now, but reduce it to six months. That's plenty of time to cool down and gives Gijimu something to look forward to. Maybe the combination of a long ban, time to reflect, and the hopefulness of return will be enough to change behavior.
Source material should take precedence. By the time it makes it to print, many people have weighed in on it, like the writer, artist, assistant editor, editor, etc.
A tweet is from a single source that may or may not have corroborating evidence.
Agreed. Glad to have another solid contributor on board!
