I realized that at the end of Thor Ragnarok, on one of the overhead views of the ship the Asgardians escape with, there is the Sakaarian Birthday Ship docked on top of it. There were no signs of it during the beginning of IW, which makes me think that's how Valkyrie, Korg and Miek escaped.
