Based on which characters have been suspiciously absent from future solicits, I'm guessing definitely Cypher and maybe Apocalypse are gonna get super murdered. Brian Braddock and Gorgon have also been absent, but they're not super present anyways
Beyond is okay. For me personally Ben Reilly was never going to be a strong enough protagonist to follow though, unlike Miles Morales or Miguel O'Hara.
I just hope the new Daredevil has the same tone as the original
I feel like a major theme in Nick Spencer's run was breaking bad cycles, but this feels like it erased everything from that run and I like it less with every new issue. I'm just sick of watching Spider-Man's life get ruined.
Nah his powers pretty much just come from Jean and Madelyne
I think this storyline is long overdue. But even if it took thirteen years, it really means a lot to me that Marvel is finally admitting they screwed up. It's not totally surprising considering that Spencer's ASM run has basically been one big apology for OMD and everything that came after it
I only which of these are jokes and which are serious answers.
For real though, the first two Wolverine movies were really boring. Incredible Hulk was the worst in the MCU to the point that a ton of people don't even realize it exists.
Brian seems like a little too obvious target considering that he has a wife and young daughter

Ultimate Spider-Man had a decent death, but one thing I didn't like was that he basically saved no one. Ultimate Green Goblin basically only existed to piss off Spider-Man, so when he died fighting him it felt kind of empty and unheroic. I agree that Spidey should go out saving people.
Yeah, I'm really not liking it so far. The loading times are longer, the galleries are a lot more condensed, and for some reason a bunch of the appearance tags are just random glitches now.
I really don't like how the Ultimate universe shows so much contempt towards its source material. Also every character is uncomfortably sexualized
So Kindred, right? Based on his hatred for Norman Osborn and calling Peter Parker "Pete", I like many others think he's Harry Osborn, who's been suspiciously absent during this run. But this isn't the Harry we know and love. This is pre-One More Day Harry, the one who was dead before the timeline was altered. He clearly harbors a deep hatred for Peter based on some unknown horrible thing he apparently did. Like, I don't know, selling his marriage to literal Satan? Idk why that would piss off dead!Harry specifically, but it's my best guess. If this holds weight, then Kindred would be the remnant of the erased timeline where he died and went to Hell, eventually becoming a demon. Maybe for he for some reason hates Peter for bringing him back. Given how many potshots Spencer's run has taken at OMD I think it's definitely possible. But hey, Amazing Spider-Man #49 gets released in literally half an hour and might change everything, so I'm just putting this in now maybe for bragging rights.
You can read some Epic collections or Marvel Masterworks which compile 10-20 old comic issues. After that you basically get the gist.
"Aw man, you mean my actions have lasting consequences?"
This post is only two days old
Hehe. Make it so.
Looks like House of M meets Tom King's Vision.
The MCU doesn't show us Uncle Ben because they know we already know about him. A couple lines of dialogue touch on the responsibility lesson so they don't have to waste thirty minutes of screen time showing us what we already know. Inversely, Amazing Spider-Man DID show us Uncle Ben dying but completely missed the point.
Right now the X-titles are super ambitious, but definitely not for everyone. The main book doesn't really have a plot not to mention the continuity between all the titles is really hard to keep up with. For X-titles, my favorites are Hellions, Marauders, and Cable.
As for everything else, Amazing Spider-Man is in the middle of the best run in years and Thor, Captain Marvel, and Venom are also quite decent. I've only read some of Miles Morales: Spider-Man and Magnificent Ms. Marvel but they're pretty good. Iron Man has only had one issue but so far I'm pleasantly surprised. Black Widow and Spider-Woman are also pretty new, but you should definitely at least check them out.
Daredevil has also been getting a lot of praise but it's really too miserable for me to enjoy, but that's just a me thing.
In my mind, the X-Men still care for humanity and believe human/mutant coexistence may someday be possible, but for now they need a practical solution, i.e. Krakoa. The concept of the X-Men as an oppressed group that nonetheless fights for a world that hates and fears them is such a fundamental concept to the franchise that it's almost certainly not permanently gone.
Who knows, maybe X of Swords will bring the whole thing crashing down.
