I’m with @The Wise Turtle Sage . Scott utilized the best of both of their philosophies and methods.
If only. I still can’t believe this amazing series was canceled in favor of Avengers Assemble.
In terms of X-Men lore, Scott is “The X-Man” much more than Wolverine tbh. Scott’s the one Xavier trained as his successor and when the time came for a leader to step up for all of mutantkind, Scott was the one who did that. Even Magneto bowed before him for bringing mutants together during the San Francisco/Utopia era. I would love nothing more than for the MCU to give Scott his due after the Fox movies made a mockery out of him due to Wolverine favoritism.

You got sick of the Spider-Verse after only 2 movies, especially after you admitted that you like the first one?
Phase 1- It’s honestly a tie between Iron Man 1 and Avengers for me.
Phase 2- Captain America: Winter Soldier
Phase 3- Avengers: Infinity War
Phase 4- Tie between Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Spider-Man No Way Home
Phase 5- Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3
Easily the Xavier Institute. Even if we just go by onscreen universes Xavier’s institute has been featured in every onscreen X-Men universe, whereas Avengers Mansion has only been in EMH.
^^Yeah. Shan led the team for a very brief period of time in the first few issues before she disappeared/was presumed dead (at least as far as the New Mutants were concerned) for awhile.
^Dani’s one of the few team members who I’m having a hard time pinpointing her age at the beginning of New Mutants. I’m guessing 15.
^Sam mentioned in New Mutants #3 that she was the oldest of the team.
Roberto was 13. Sam was 16 and I think Shan was at least 16 as well.
I honestly never bought into Fox’s Wolverine and his sidekicks routine. Cyclops will always be “The X-Man” as far as I’m concerned and I’m so grateful for X-Men ‘97 putting the respect back on his name. I’m praying that the MCU will take notes from this and not repeat Fox’s mistakes. Same goes for a lot of other characters that those movies underutilized/mishandled.
I honestly can’t even begin to guess how they will at this point. The MCU is all over the place and I’d be surprised if they had half an idea for how to bring the X-Men.
It honestly feels like some people were just looking for a reason to hate on the movie and they completely misunderstood what Anthony was saying.
