No, he's right here. Sheen's Ben went to attack a man because his gun slipped out of his pocket he didn't even really have any reason to as the man didn't pose a threat. Cliff's Ben was merced in his car, just super random and unfortunate. Plus Raimi told Peter's origin and his link to the cause of Ben's death much more faithfully and devastatingly than Webb did.

As for my opinion on the subject, I can't decide between both stories as they're both very good and interesting stories focused on the rogues and how they see their position and "duty" so to speak. Lots of similarities between them. As a Batman fan most of all I'm pushed closer to The Killing Joke being my preference but it's close
