^^Gambit Earth-9921, aka New Sun from the Gambit series in the late 90's was essentially just this. "What if Gambit hadn't had Sinister do surgery on him to keep his powers in check?"
In this alternate reality Remy basically just kills the Phoenix then accidentally creates a shockwave that kills all life on Earth. Then tried to turn himself into pure kinetic energy and go back in time or something to undo all that, but ended up being able to travel the multiverse in that "pure kinetic" state. Pretty much his surgery was the only thing that kept him from being an Omega Level mutant, and eventually loosing control of his undefined power levels.
Unlike the other characters listed, Rogue has basically reached the full extent of her powers as a Beta Level mutant. She can drain peoples' powers, but can easily become overwhelmed by the amount of power she does drain from people. So even if she got around the whole touching limitation to her powers, which sometimes applies and sometimes doesn't, she would be out cold before she did a dent in Gambit (New Sun) or Cable (X-Man). So I don't think Rogue really has a shot.
I would go with Cable for the victory for all this, just because he's able to manipulate reality so skillfully and in the blink of an eye, like in Age of X-Man, that there's not much anyone else can do.

^Same thing with Gambit, I was shocked to learn that he was meant to talk in a Cajun accent. If only they would make him talk more stereotypical Louisiana, maybe have him talk in the third person every other sentence, or slur his words together, or at least throw in a little French every now and then.

Honestly, I don't even know what roles a night seat would play, nor the arakki mutants well enough to think of any that could fill the role. However, I am loving the X-Men Red series so much, I just read the most recent one yesterday and it very much satisfied my cravings.

^^^It's everyone on the overall X-Men roster for Jim Lee, but that's why they divided the teams into smaller groups. I agree with this being the best incarnation of the team though.

Yeah, they seem fairly similar, minus the uncertainties surrounding Kamran's powers and his ability to emit it as a shock, probably meaning that his powers are more electric based than using an objects own stored energy, like Gambit does.
