With the upcoming Deadpool and Wolverine movie coming and the new insomniac Wolverine video game set to release sometime in the following year, I think it’s time to address the elephant in the room, The Wolverine being adapted to the MCU. You see, I didn’t exactly love the Logan movie but I loved the way it portrayed Logan; a gruesome, protective, one man army. I think it portrayed the Wolverine way better than the X-Men movies or The previous Wolverine movies ever did. The X-Men series’ biggest issue with Wolverine was that they were PG-13, which is understandable it’s a comic book movie! However, I think going forward marvel needs to adapt a rated R Wolverine to the MCU and of course make PG-13 compromises when it comes to team up films. Also… can we not do the yellow and blue suit😂 I’ve always been a fan of the Brown and Yellow suit as it’s grittier and more better represents a real life Wolverine animal. In all seriousness, I hope they don’t attempt to make Wolverine a comedic character such as they did with Ant-Man, She-Hulk, Hulk, Abomination, Captain Marvel, Thor and many others, different storylines need different interpretations and I believe they need to incorporate more grittier and darker elements to their films while also have a comedic movie somewhere in the mix as well but I certainly don’t enjoy this trend with making marvel movies a laughing stock. Anyways, I would also like to see Andrew Lincoln who famously played Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead, I feel like he’d bring the right aspects to the character and he already has the hair and beard! He also knows how to work an accent. Let me know your thoughts!
