Is X-Men: The Hidden Years not considered Earth-616 canon? If not, why?
I've always had a love/hate relationship with them. On one hand, they're classic part of his iconic look, on the other though, they never seemed to have any believable practical application, might restrict movement, and/or be the VERY. FIRST. THING. on his costume to rip or snag in action. There's a reason none of the live-action Spidey suits actually try to emulate this (and I'm not talking a one-off vfx shot as an emergency gimmick).

The first Iron Man; with the exception of the post credit teaser, it was the only MCU film I can think of that had the luxury of being its own self contained story, not overloaded with overt setups for other characters' films. It's focused and accomplishes exactly what it set out to do.
In large part, I think this is a fundamentally important part of what lifts a "movie" into the realm of "cinema" — how well it can exist and be understood on its own terms, without the need for supplemental viewing to give it context.
While there are (VERY few) sequels that can pull this off, I can't think of any other Marvel movie that manages this (Black Panther came oh so close) while also packing in all the story moments, plot structure, character bits, action, good villain, etc. that truly makes a film in this genre a crowd-pleaser. But then again, I have been called a film snob before.
So, yeah what Marvel character do you feel is either massively underrated or got the short end of the stick, ending up with their potential being wasted? Personally I can think of quite a few, but the one that pops to mind almost immediately is always Marrow; Chris Claremont didn’t kill her off when he returned to the x-men in 2000, but with his six month gap he might as well have. Who do you think needs more love?
So yeah, new here, yadda yadda and all that jazz. I'm still learning when it comes to how these wikis work from the editing side, but I hope to contribute where I can. I don't really have any absolute favorite characters because they're all so different, but for the moment I'm on the fence between Spidey and Rogue, fave villain is Apocalypse — all subject to change of course.
Um, hi I guess. Kinda off topic (or is the research area not actually for research?🤔) but at any rate, I suppose my favorites are Spider-man and Apocalypse. Nice to meet you.
I'm new here and am just learning to edit, but at any rate, I notice that the Pseudonym "Sherigail" redirects to Ray Holloway, but according to Comics.org this was actually Morrie Kuramoto at this link below.
It reads "Kuramoto credit per Nick Caputo, April 2013. Previous indexer credited Ray Holloway. Nick notes that based upon an examination of the lettering styles Ray Holloway has been incorrectly identified as using the pseudonym "Sherigail". The name was derived from Morrie Kuramoto's wife and daughter, Gail and Sherry, as noted here:" and provides a dead link url unfortunately.
Where to go from here?
