Synopsis for "Computer Love: Part 1"

Machine Man has towed himself to Jocasta's sky cycle when she left Bain Tower, leaving his post during the A.I. Army's heist on the building. Jocasta knocks him off the air and lures him to a Baintronics facility in New Jersey. Aaron is attacked by surprise by X-22, one of Aaron's fifty predecessor X-Model Robots, all of whom were supposed to have been wiped out by the government. After destroying him, Aaron ventures into the underground compound, where he is attacked by all the remaining X-Models. A holographic recording of Arno Stark explains that Baintronics had purchased the remains of all X-Models from the government and rebuilt them without free will.

Aaron manages to deploy a counter-frequency to block the signal that was inhibiting his predecessors, causing them to have different kinds of mental breakdowns do to their regained free will, but allowing Aaron to evade them and continue looking for Jocasta. When he finds her, Jocasta berates Arno and insists that she is content with the alteration in her operative system that made her subservient to Baintronics. She offers Aaron the same peace of mind, but he refuses to trade his free will for mental stability. When Jocasta expresses that she has found love due to Bain, Aaron is suddenly attacked by a more sophisticated version of himself, and his self-proclaimed successor, X-52.

Synopsis for "If They Be Heroes--!"

A group of scavengers named the Midnight Wreckers are raiding the Robowerx facility that had been blown up by Arno Stark and Sunset Bain when they are confronted by Bain's security forces. A Baintronics roboticist named Rahman Bashara watches security footage of the scene and expresses his apprehension towards the company's anti-A.I. views to his coworker Lorna Hopgood. He decides to help the Wreckers by disabling the robots, and uses a drone to follow them to their hideout at Tommy's Scrap Yard.

The Midnight Wreckers meet up with Gears Garvin, Ralphie and Dr. Peter Spaulding. Gears has been running a workshop to help fix robots out of good faith, without any desire to take sides in the robot revolution, but Dr. Spaulding disapproves his actions. Their discussion is interrupted by the arrival of Dr. Bashara, who wants to help fight for A.I. independence, but the Wreckers and their allies are suspicious of him. Baintronics security officer Dr. Cyclobe observes him from a computer after Hopgood had ratted him out. The hideout is suddenly attacked by members of the A.I. Army, who mistakenly believe Gears is oppressing A.I.s. Almost consecutively, the base is also assaulted by Baintronic robots. Believing Dr. Bashara to have purposedly led them to the hideout, Midnight Wreckers member Hassle threatens to kill him.
