A variant of Dr. A.D. Doug, Ph.D. taken from the Branched Timeline of “Sacred Timeline” by the Time Variance Authority, robbed of his memories and absorbed into the ranks of the TVA, becoming Ouroboros, a TVA clerk who worked in the department Repairs & Advancement.[2]
History
Ouroboros or O.B. was the TVA clerk who worked in the Repairs & Advancement Department for more than four hundred years.
Temporal Loom Crisis[]
O.B. is introduced to Loki.
When Loki began time-slipping, Agent Mobius took him to Ouroboros, who was initially skeptic until Loki slipped back in time and talked to Ouroboros in the past. O.B. explained that Mobius needed to use a Temporal Aura Extractor to extract Loki from the Temporal Loom while Loki self-pruned. He and Mobius deployed it into the Temporal Loom, creating a physical timeline which tied Loki to the present. Loki's condition was stabilized, but TVA experienced power fluctuations, and O.B. realized that the multiversal branches were overwhelming the Temporal Loom. When B-15 rejected the option of pruning the branches, Ouroboros indicated that the only alternative was sealing the blast doors leading to the Temporal Loom while he developed modifications for it to accommodate the branches.[2]
O.B. at work
As the door to the Temporal Loom could only be opened by Miss Minutes or He Who Remains, Loki and Mobius located a Variant of him named Victor Timely on a branched timeline and brought him into the TVA to work with O.B. on the Throughput Multiplier to scale the capacity of the Temporal Loom. During this time, Timely and O.B. discovered that they were fans of each other, as O.B. authored TVA Official Handbook based on Timely's journal, which itself was only possible by him receiving a copy of the Handbook in the past.
Preparing to launch the Throughput Multiplier
Despite O.B.'s efforts, the Temporal Loom overloaded and the entire Time Variance Authority was ordered to be evacuated. Running out of time, Loki volunteered himself to launch the Throughput Multiplier, but Timely insisted on taking the risk. The temporal radiation in the Loom chamber had risen dramatically, and the moment the airlock blast doors opened and Timely stepped outside, Victor was spaghettified into non-existence shortly before the Loom exploded.[3] Thrown again, Loki had manage to master his Time Slipping[1] and returned to the time before the Loom's explosion. Having realized what he needed to do, Loki used his Asgardian magic to breach the blast doors and destroy the Temporal Loom. The others watched as timeline branches began to die, but Loki used his powers to gather and maintain them during his ascension, leaving his friends behind but safe.[4]
The new TVA had redirected its efforts towards protecting the new Multiverse and hunting the Variants of He Who Remains. O.B. had reprogrammed and reactivates Miss Minutes to be more helpful and less murder-prone. [4]
Ghost-Spider[]
Saving Gwen Stacy
After Ghost-Spider (Gwen Stacy) of Earth-65 got merged with a Cosmic Cube and was targeted by a King Loki for her new powers,[5] Ouroborous began to study her and informed Mobius that he believed Gwen to be in danger. Mobius downplayed Ouroboros' study and stated that he checked himself and believed Gwen to be ".7." on the danger scale. Mobius advised Ouroboros get some cake from the break room and Ouroboros originally decided to listen, but then changed his mind and rescued Gwen from her universe.[6] O.B. presented Gwen to the TVA as a timeline refugee with no home to return to, and the fact that Gwen's home reality was still intact remained a secret between the two of them.[7]
An agreement between Gwen, O.B., and the TVA was set up in which Gwen would be sent to Earth-616 to hide her from King Loki. Under no circumstances was Gwen to use her suit or powers. Gwen reluctantly agreed to this and was given the alias of "Lisa Rogers" in order to differentiate herself from Gwen Stacy of Earth-616. O.B. would later find that Gwen did end up using her suit on Earth-616 and so lectured her about it. Gwen came up with many excuses before getting down to the real issue of not wanting to use an alias when in her civilian life on Earth-616. O.B. told her he'd see what he could do before reminding her one last time not to use her suit.[8]
Working for the TVA, Gwen joined Jimmy Hudson of Earth-1610, Captain Carter of Earth-82111, Gambit of Earth-TRN1592, and Ingrid to form the new field team of O.B.'s Research and Advancement Department.[7] While dealing with the outbreak of "the Madness", the team discovered a secret Department of Deferment located directly beneath the R&A.[9]Paraphernalia

- Web of Spider-Man (Vol. 3) #1 and Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider depict Ouroboros as a suit-wearing field agent, while in the concurrent TVA series he is still the head of R&A Department and wears the same uniform he wore in the TV series.
