History
Abbotsford was a town in Ohio where Daniel Shepard was from. He was arrested and charged with assault of Edna Mae Terry, his former schoolteacher under the guise of racism. Racial tensions increased in the town leading up to his trial. The Defenders traveled to Abbotsford at the behest of Moondragon due to specific premonitions she was detecting. At the trial of Shepard, Moondragon uncovered the real reason for the alleged assault which was actually a false memory used by Shepard as a telekinetic trick with the intention of having Terry reveal her heartbreaks to him. After they had been told to them, he manifested them in a flame emanating from his hand which he then extinguished.[1]
