Sheik Abdul Zu Fadh's men attempted to capture Kahlima, but they were defeated by Conan. They tried again the next day and successfully kidnapped her. Telling Conan Abdul Zu Fadh was obsessed with obtaining her daughter's hand, and enraged with her for having rejected him, Sheik Ali Maksoud persuaded the Cimmerian to hunt him down and find Kahlima. As Sheik Abdul Zu Fadh told them that Kahlima was the demon responsible for slaughtering his only son and before he was about to reveal her true lycanthropic nature, he was swiftly murdered by Maksoud.[1]
