History

The life of Abel Stack on largely mirrors that of his Earth-616 counterpart.

Abel Stack was a brilliant scientist working for the United States military. Stack worked on constructing robot soldiers for the army, but simultaneously sought to find a way to live eternally through his creations.

He created X-51, a robot replica of himself, endowed with his personality traits. Stack eventually grew to fear what the military had planned for his creation, and removed X-51's self-destruct device, allowing it to flee. Stack died in the process, but X-51 would survive and become a hero.
