History

Abigail Brand was the leader of S.W.O.R.D. when Jean Grey was resurrected by Ord. She was informed by Agent Lockheed of Jean Grey's return, the possession of Emma Frost by the Phoenix Force and the death of Ord. She arrived at the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters in an attempt to contain the Phoenix but had to separate it from its host. They successfully contained it after the death of Emma Frost.
