Mercy received the powers of teleportation, telekinesis, and levitation from gamma radiation, which was used as a treatment that cured her of a slowly fatal brain tumor that would have eventually killed her.[1]
Mercy was the bodyguard for Emil Blonsky. She planned to stop the Hulk from getting the fuel rods, but failed. As Mercy tried to tell the Hulk about her ex-employer's current plans, Blonsky blew up the building she was when she tried to stop him.[1]
